Joe’s division one colleague career started off strong, coming off the bench and averaging 12 points and 6 rebounds in 15 minutes over the first four games; earning him honourable mention in the M.E.A.C. 6th man of the week. Over the course of the season, Joe went on to be a regular starter. His colleague high in scoring, was 21 points on 8 for 11 shooting against North Carolina Central University along with a high of 9 rebounds. Over the course of his 2 year division one colleague career he scored double figures in 15 games and grabbed 5plus rebounds on 20 different occasions. Joe finished South Carolina State with the highest GPA in all student athletes and was named the unsung hero of the 2011-2012 Men’s basketball season.
