Heart of A Lion

Firstly I want to thank the London lion organisation for believing in my ability and skill as a basketball player and giving me the opportunity to represent the city I was born and raised in. These last three seasons have been filled with many highs and lows, but one thing that has never changed is my dedication to the London lions.

I couldn’t go any further without talking about the London Lions fans, volunteers and supporters your desire for us to be the best British basketball organisation is something that continues to drive the club forward day by day and personally I love the support and passion you have shown for me in our time together. That is why I’m so excited to announce that I will be returning to the London Lions for the 2016/17 season.

I'm looking forward to seeing some old faces namely the Williams brothers and of-course the former BBL MVP Zaire Taylor  (who were already announced earlier in the summer) and I'm very excited to seeing some brand new faces and welcoming them to London.

This season we will have a new look team that I believe has all the right pieces to make that championship run that we almost completed in the 2014/15 season.

Having Nigel Llyod, Larent Irish, and Robert Youngblood back in the coaching spots is something I'm also excited about, getting to see their coaching dynamic grow and how that impacts the team is going to be very key to our success.

Coach L, Nigel and Joe

This Summer while preparing for the upcoming season I have spent a lot of time on the basketball court with Coach L (Larent Irish) and Nigel and I personally feel a better understanding of my role with the team and how I can best help us reach our potential.

Guys thanks for taking time to read this and I hope your as ready for the season as I am.

P.S. I'm Still Captain 🙂
